2006 Environmental Leadership Award.  Jill has also been recognized by James Magazine as one of the
most Influential Legislators in Georgia in 2005 and 2006.




Governor Sonny Perdue signs HB 1209 into law establishing the Urban Patrol Unit for the Georgia State  Patrol.  The State Patrol had been trying to pass this legislation since the 1930's and Rep. Jill Chambers did it in 2006!  This legislation will help fund a motorcycle Trooper unit to patrol I-285 and inside the perimeter.  Chamblee Mayor Eric Clarkson, bill co-sponsor Rep. Joe Wilkinson, and Frank Rotundo of the Georgia Police Chiefs Association join Jill and the Troopers for the bill signing ceremony.
